Account Warm-Up Guide

A new LinkedIn account that suddenly sends 75 connection requests on day one looks like a bot. Here's how to ramp safely.

Why warm-up matters

LinkedIn's restriction algorithms are primarily triggered by sudden spikes in activity — not by the existence of automation itself. An account that has consistently sent 70 connection requests a day for six months is far less likely to be flagged than a brand-new account sending 75 on day one.

The warm-up process mimics the growth pattern of a legitimately active LinkedIn user. Salesrobot's built-in warm-up feature handles this automatically — but understanding the rationale helps you make better decisions when customizing limits.

Recommended warm-up schedule

PeriodConnectionsMessagesProfile ViewsNotes
Week 1–210–15/day15–20/day15–20/dayGo slow. Let the account settle. Monitor for any warning emails from LinkedIn.
Week 3–425–30/day30–35/day30–35/daySteady ramp. If no warnings, proceed to next phase.
Week 5–645–55/day50–60/day50–60/dayApproaching full capacity. Maintain message quality — complaint rate is highest here.
Week 7+75/day75/day75/dayFull operating capacity. Continue monitoring reply rates vs complaint signals.

How to enable automatic warm-up in Salesrobot

Go to Accounts → click your account → Settings → Enable Warm-Up. Salesrobot will automatically increase limits on the schedule above. You do not need to manually adjust anything.

Warning signs to watch for

During warm-up, watch your LinkedIn notifications for security emails, verify identity prompts, or "we've noticed unusual behavior" messages. If any appear, pause all campaigns, reduce daily limits by 50%, and resume after 72 hours.

Older accounts with no prior automation history

If you're connecting an established LinkedIn account that has never been used for automation, still run a 4-week warm-up. The issue is not account age — it's the pattern change from no automation activity to full volume.
